Slow The Telelphone Telemarketing Calls

Sign up immediately to join the Do Not Call Registry. Managed and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission, commonly known as the FTC. The “Do Not Call List” offers consumers the opportunity to dramatically reduce the volume of telemarketing calls they receive.

How do I register? By calling the registry’s toll-free phone number at 1-888-382-1222 or visiting the registry’s website at www.donotcall.gov What telephone numbers can I register? You can register a mobile phone, your home telephone, but not a business number. I am registered, but now what do I do? Good news, you can sit back and enjoy. As of January 1, 2005 telemarketers were given 31 days from the date you register to stop calling you. Normally, it takes only one day from request for your name to begin appearing on the Do Not Call Registry.

Oh no something happened. How do I file a complaint if calls do not stop? You can visit the website or call 1-888-382-1222. You must be able to provide either the name or phone number of the company that called you. You must also provide the date of the call, along with your phone number.
